Broken News: Out of sight.. Out of Mind…
Sometimes reasonable requests are not heard. We as individuals and as a community can make decisions for the wrong reason. For example, take Mister Chani Graumann’s request for his business to be afforded the visibility he paid for years back. Born of Chinese and Jewish parents, Chani feels his requests fall on deaf ears just because he wears a tie of silk.
Back in 1971, Chani built a Chinese food market right on what is now known as the studio hub. His food was never any good, but it was the only place to get Chinese food at the time. But with the reopening of “9 Tigersharks”, business is slow and Chani is acting. He has rekindled his old complaint that his storefront was once visible before the “Fishing Apprentice” opened up shop nearby on the harbor.
Again he is pleading with the community to make something happen here. Even if we don’t do anything, he also wants it clear that he is still running a $4.99 Squid Lo mein lunch special.
This one is open for community discussion.

In the words of Pink Floyd, “Tear down the hat!”
Wait… what’s that in the water?!??!?!
“Shhh… shhh… sh… shaaaaaarrk!!!!!!”
“This shark, swallow you whole. Little shakin’, little tenderizin’, an’ down you go. And we gotta do it quick, that’ll bring back your tourists, put all your businesses on a payin’ basis. But it’s not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck a lot more than three thousand bucks, chief. I’ll find him for three, but I’ll catch him, and kill him, for ten. But you’ve gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on welfare the whole winter. I don’t want no volunteers, I don’t want no mates, there’s just too many captains on this island. Ten thousand dollars for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole darned thing.” – Quaint
