Top Ten With Tim: Best 2008 Christmas Gifts: Number 3
This next offering almost came in as number 6a but through some scientific calculations, it sits comfortably at number 3.
Of course, no visit to Passamaquoddy is complete without the nighttime celebration “Fishes”. Back in a more thoughtless time, the show consisted of hurling electrical eels at seagulls. The family would gather around Sand Dollar Ella’s and marvel at the sight. This was all timed to some music playing from the Victrola including the popular “When you fish upon my car”.
Nowadays, due to an increased brain size in the seagull community, fishes has to be performed using fireworks, but the music remains the same. This CD is for everyone who ever hummed along. So grab a herring whip and settle down by the “Swordfish in a stone” statue and relive the magic of fishes… where angling dreams come true.

Even now, with the addition of the fireworks, I always end up looking in the wrong direction and missing the entire show!
