S.S. MINNIE goes Big Time!

In a move that shows art imitates life, an unnamed national broadcaster would like to produce a made for TV film about the near tragedy that befell the S.S. MINNIE. The working title for the proposed movie is ‘Mongello’s Island’. A theme song has already been written.

The Ballad Of Mongello’s Island

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from our local port
Aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The MINNIE would be lost, the MINNIE would be lost.

The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle
With Mongello
And Scopa too,
The Mayor and his wife,
A Singing star
Doc Terminus and Rachel Ray,
Here on Mongello’s Isle.

This concludes the SS MINNIE serial. I hope you all have enjoyed it.
