Breaking News: Lost and Found?

New reports have come to light regarding the possible fate of the S.S. MINNIE and all those who sailed aboard her.
Pilot Hans “Wrong way” Feldman who recently landed in Aruba claims to have seen the wreckage of the MINNIE on an uncharted island. Unfortunately Mr. Feldman does not recall exactly which island it is. “I’m not certain where I found them, in fact I’m not really sure how I came to be in Aruba, I was heading for “Maine”.”Mr. Feldman was carrying a camera, which he claims contains photographic evidence that supports his find. Development of the film does indeed show what appears to be the hull of the S.S. MINNIE washed ashore on a tropical beach. The only question now is what beach?
Mr. Feldman could not be reached for further comment at this time. It seems that the condition of his plane has placed him in direct violation of several aeronautical laws. No radio, a broken compass and altimeter are just a few of the details. According to local officials, the one thing that seems to work is the flight clock. Comparing the clock to Mr. Feldman’s log book indicates that the castaways are located somewhere within a 1500 mile radius of Aruba. Coastal authorities state that “locating them among the many Caribbean islands will be like finding a needle in a haystack. We will start searching in the opposite direction indicated by Mr. Wrongway.”
Finally, some good news.
We have good and bad news to report today. First we are greatly pleased to announce that the records for the black box from Hans Feldman’s plane have yielded results and the beacons transmission has been identified and located. The beacon is transmitting from a location 1200 miles away from Passamaquoddy and 150 miles offshore from Miami. Satellite images indicate that another possibly inhabited island lies less that a mile away. It is not known if the castaways realize this, as the wreckage of the S.S. MINNIE is located on the opposing side of the island. If all goes well our beloved Mayor and everyone else may be rescued tomorrow.
