A Message from Cap’n Slippy

” I’m telling ya thars to many Captains in this town. Just as our peaceful hamlet is recovering from them Verny days. I get asked to help point would be applicators down to Captain Jonas “Scopa” Grumby’s  slip. Seems this would be Captain is lookin ta hire a  little buddy to help with sumpin called excursions. Wants to take folks out and feed them lunch whilst showing them the sites. I hear Mayor Backus has already reserved the first three hour tour for his lovey wife and himself.”

    I just received a response from Capt. Grumby regarding my application.

    Here’s what he had to say.

    Jeff,

    Thanks for your interest in joining my crew. Here is what is included. Two square meals per day, all weather gear, binoculars, and your own white sailors cap.

    I see from your application that you are 5′ 10″ tall. You should be aware that the doorway to my ships galley is only 60″ high.

    Future applicants over a whopping 5 feet may what to take that into consideration.
