Sound Round Town: The Little Mermaid

Breaking News: January 9, 2008

Hey folks, tonight’s programming will be a bit different. Normally at 9PM EST in the time slot usually occupied by “SHONGS TO SHUCK BY”, we’ll be simulcasting a “Virtual opening night” of Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID.

That’s right. Everyone’s favorite siren finally gets her big time premiere in New York City – which is located somewhere southwest of “Annie’s Angler Supply” – and you can hear a salute right here on KWDY. This will include the WORLD PREMIERE of the Original Cast Recording as well as interviews with composer Alan Menken!!!

So there it is.. Tonight no shucky shongs. Rather you’ll hear

* The New Broadway Cast Recording of THE LITTLE MERMAID

* Interviews with Composer Alan Menken and the cast

* Highlights from opening night…

You can find out information on Ariel’s Broadway experience from the Disney on Broadway page located here.
